\u00a0COMMUNITY WATER INTEGRATION SYSTEMS<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

<\/span><\/h1>\n

Historically, in Uganda, many wells have been dug by the government and organizations but they quickly run dry or collapse and the community is in the same situation they were before. This has led us to not just dig a well but to work with the community chosen for a Sustainable Community Water Integration System. This process usually takes 3-4 months and requires at least 4-5 community visits.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

This process, while longer than just digging a well, has proven to give everyone using clean water the knowledge and information for the greatest impact. This also gives us the opportunity to continue developing deeper relationships in the community.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Community Site Visit to determine if the community is in need and ready for a well\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meet with community leaders to have a piece of land donated for the well for a partnership on the project. We take the time to train the community on clean water collection and storage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meet with the community and leaders to develop a Local Well Committee that will protect the use of the well and maintain it in case of need of repair. Further, train the community on proper hygiene and sanitation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
