SUUBI PRIMARY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL PROJECT

The Primary School Projects exists because in the region it was noticed many children did not have the opportunity to attend school or have a daily meal.  It is located on Beyond Uganda’s land in Namayemba and employs teachers in the local community.   Our desire is to bring light, hope, and transformation to the community, region, and country.

THE STORY OF ISMAIL WEERE

Ismail Weere went through a sequence early in life where his mother passed away, his father lost his job, and Ismail was forced to stay with an uncle where he was fed sparingly and abused from time to time.  Many nights or even days he went without a meal or bed to sleep in.  Due to finances there was no chance at even thinking about attending school.

Ismail attended one of the community events where Beyond Uganda’s school program provides a meal for the local community.  The BU staff noticed him as he continued to come to Sunday school each week on his own.  He was later given a scholarship to study at BU’s Suubi Christian Primary School which provides him housing, meals, and classes.  Since then he has a different look on life, excelling in his studies, and growing into a leader.
