ANYANGO MOREEN
Moreen was born on February 17th 2000 and she lives in Bugiri, Uganda
Anyango Moreen doesn’t know the meaning of the word family. Her father was never known and her mother abandoned her to move away with another man far away from where she was born. Moreen ended up at her grandmothers house in Bugiri District but the grandmother (not wanting to raise anymore kids) speaks horribly to her and beats her any chance she gets. Because of this, Moreen runs with other girls her age on the streets to survive. Many of these girls are traded for food and often taking for human trafficking. This is especially the case in a town so close to the border of Kenya. Moreen wants to attend school to change this future and looks forward to becoming a teacher or accountant herself to one day help other girls like her. Please consider investing in Moreen and partnering with Beyond Uganda in her future.
